Totally free science resources from Carex (ideal for a science day!)
Designed for children from EYFS to KS3, the 'Hands Up for Hygiene' acivities could be used to create a series of lessons for an individual class OR a science day for the entire school.
The resources are well presented and include detailed lesson plans, worksheets, an IWB presentation, an assembly plan, leaflets and sets of scenarios for class discussion.
The activities are really easy to resource. You will only need flour, towels, handwash and stopwatches - so preparation time will be kept to a minimum.
It would be very easy to extend the activities if you wanted to. The children could, for example, design their own leaflets, create an advert about the importance of washing your hands or use the sets of scenarios to inspire some writing.
This is a highly recommended set of resources.
